Elevated RF is found in collagen vascular diseases such as SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Sj?gren’s Syndrome, and in other conditions such as leprosy, tuberculosis, syphilis, malignancy, thyroid disease and in a significant percentage of otherwise normal elderly patients.
